It fun getting used to Rochester again. With all of my biking I have been
developing a strange map of the city in my head. Everything gets
clasified relative to the canal and river bike path's. I have often
thought about bike routes as aposed to car routes. Oftern I don't know
how to get someplace by car because the route is only passable by bike. The other night I ventured into heavy traffic to get to the bank. I was
super excited when exploring on the way home I found a route back to the
bike path that a was only a few blocks and out of any traffic.I wish I could descride better how I see it. It's like a long coridor
with doors all over the place that lead to work, or ann's house, or the bank.Other fun on the bike path. I met someone the other night for the first
time with a bright headlight. He was coming the other way and all I could
think was to wonder how a freight train could be coming toward me on the
bike path, and not be making any freight train noise. For three days I watched about seven fish trapped in a pool along the
canal until they disapeared. And along the river there is a raven party every night at sunset. I don't
see then too often. I have said they are very The Birds-esque. There are
just so many of them. I just learned that a group of Ravens is called an
unkindness.I've been thinking of this canal path is like the backbone of the city,
and I'm like a nerve impulse running up and down. Work is at the left
hand out stretched, Ann's house is on the arm of the statue of liberty
holding up the torch, And where I am staying is one of the feet of a
gymnast in full split. So that's my life.
