My name is Eric Sandvig and this page is supposed to be me pimpin' my mad skillz. Ahem. I have been wandering on the fringes of the mod community since the days of Quake II. I hope to hone my modeling and skinning skills and land on a decent Half-Life 2 mod team very soon. Here is a rundown of my software experience:
2D: Photoshop, Imageready, Paint Shop Pro, The GIMP
3D: 3ds Max, Bryce, XSI Exp
Web: Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks
Video: iMovie, Premiere, After Effects
There's more, I'm sure. I used to use the nick Deathcow, but then I realized how stupid that is. Now I use dj_sand. It's less stupid.
Have a look around. If you can't figure it out I don't wanna work with you...

Here are some examples of art I have done in the past. If you click on one of the three wallpapers, a new window with a 640x480 image will open.
This is the first thing I did after I got my Graphire pen. I just copied a photo of some supermodel. I think it's Laetitia Casta.
I made this wallpaper for the now defunct gaming site Digital Arenas. This is a Quake III Team Arena screenshot which I doctored up in Photoshop. Now go look up defunct in the dictionary.
Mostly Bryce, but the lens flare is Photoshop. Remember when lens flares were still cool?
This is a composite thingy I made. It was hosted at gameart.com while they were around. Pi is a a Quake III Team Arena model. The crashed spaceship is a 3DS model and it's imported into a Bryce scene.
Here is a sampling
of some of my textures. The crates were featured in the Mapcenter Texture
Challenge. The one with the bars and the red eyes is the texture chosen
to represent the whole thing (all 100+ textures). All done in Photoshop. |

So far I have only made one skin.
It's a Makarov 9mm pistol for a VERY low-poly model.
I have only completed two models that I care to show, the Makarov 9mm and an unskinned Dragunov sniper rifle. These models are both less than 1500 polys. The Makarov is more like 500 polygons. Both done in 3dsmax.
I made some Visual Basic programs for a college class. Most are the typical interest calculators and such, but I also made one game (shown below) and am working on another.

If you desperately want a copy of this game, email me and I'll send you the zip file.
