Field Notes
Rabbit Reproduction
Rabbits must eat to survive and reproduce. The more food a rabbit eats, the greater the chances of it reproducing. A breeding pair of rabbits can produce a litter of up to seven bunnies every month! Young males are ready to mate at 4 months of age; females can mate at 3 1/2 months!
On Grassland, some rabbits will eat enough to reproduce while others eat just enough to get by.
