The following three news photos were shot for the Syracuse Newspapers.







When Newt Gingrich came to Syracuse to meet with area Representative Jim Walsh and other big wigs the anti republicans turned out to protest the visit and the policies that Gingrich and Walsh represent.




A young Mohawk woman confronts a NY state trooper at the Mohawk reservation at St.Regis, NY, on the Canadian border. This photo was taken when pro and anti gambling factions on the reservation reached a near riot level during a demonstration. The trooper was denying her access to media people that were being held back by other troopers nearby.






Soldiers training at Fort Drum, NY in preparation for operation Desert Storm. Though Fort Drum is home for the US Army's 10th Mountain Division, the guys training for Desert Storm were in the National Gaurd. A chopper has just landed, stirring up a cloud of sand, creating a nice backdrop for this GI on gaurd duty.

















Arsonist fire on Thanksgiving Day at a dairy farm in northern NY. This farmer ran into the burning barn and moments later was pushing this cow out to safety. A large number of other cattle died in the blaze.
